These works are inspired by Mexico’s Dias de los Muertos celebration which takes place from October 31st through November 2nd in conjunction with the Christian celebration of All Soul's Day. It’s roots began in pre-Columbian times within the Aztec culture who viewed the cycles of life and death as complimentary. Death was perceived not as a time of
mourning, but as a time of celebration.

For this, I have created a series of memorial ornaments and bottles. They pay tribute to some of my mentors and to revolutionary heros and heroines (real and mythical ) with either images or text.
